Groan. These are ridiculously bad jokes, right?! We agree. As accountants we’ve heard countless bad jokes and second-hand assumptions that we are no fun and do not have a sense of humor. We respectfully disagree; and we’re here this week to debunk the myth that accountants are no fun. Now, we might be a little biased, but we think we are pretty damn funny. And hey, we all know the phrase about what happens when we assume. So, don’t assume your accountant has a dry sense of humor or doesn’t know how to have a good time. He or she is a regular person who happens to be working for you; and who has your financial best interests in mind when you communicate with one another. We know most of your conversations center around your business, but it’s good to have an accountant in your corner who can let loose every so often. In fact, connecting with your accountant benefits your business by giving your accountant information about how your business fits into your personal life that receipts, spreadsheets and mileage logs cannot provide.
